Preparing properly for your PMU brow appointment is essential for optimal healing and pigment retention. Please review all pre-care instructions carefully to ensure the best possible results from your cosmetic tattoo service.

Nano Brows Powder Brows

    • Avoid Botox or brow-area fillers (wait at least 6 weeks before or after your procedure).

    • Avoid chemical peels, microneedling, laser treatments, or resurfacing near the brow area.

    • Do not undergo brow lamination within 3–4 weeks of your appointment.

    If you are currently pregnant, nursing, undergoing chemotherapy, or managing certain medical conditions, please consult prior to booking.

    • Avoid waxing, tinting, threading, or shaping your brows.

    • Avoid retinol, tretinoin, benzoyl peroxide, AHAs/BHAs, or active skincare near the brow area.

    • Avoid excessive sun exposure or tanning. Sunburned or irritated skin cannot be treated.

    • Avoid all things from weeks 2-4.

    • Avoid alcohol.

    • Limit caffeine intake the day of your appointment.

    • Avoid ibuprofen, aspirin, fish oil, vitamin E, and other blood thinners unless medically required. (Consult your physician before stopping any prescribed medication.)

    Blood thinners increase sensitivity and bleeding, which can affect pigment retention. Please let your artist know if you are taking any blood thinners prior to booking.

    • Make-up is okay, but be advised. During appointment make-up can be smeared or may need to be cleansed off near service area.

    • Eat beforehand to stabilize blood sugar.

    • Bring reference photos if you have inspiration.

    • Expect your appointment to take 2.5–3.5 hours. Also, keep in mind, brow mapping can take up to an hour.

    • No caffeinated drinks.

    Please note: Caffeine can cause bleeding. Excess bleeding prevents pigment retention.

  • If you have prior cosmetic tattooing, please submit clear, makeup-free photos in natural lighting before booking.

    Corrective work depends on existing pigment depth, color, and skin condition. Additional sessions may be required, and results cannot be guaranteed when working over previous work.

  • You may not be eligible for treatment if you:

    • Are pregnant or nursing

    • Have uncontrolled diabetes

    • Have active eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis in the brow area

    • Are on Accutane (within the last 6–12 months)

    • Have had recent radiation or chemotherapy

    • Have an active infection near the treatment site

  • Brows will appear darker and more defined immediately after your appointment. This is normal. Color will soften 30–40% once healed.

    A perfecting session at 6–8 weeks is required for best results.

Lip Blush ombré Lips

    • Avoid lip filler within 4 weeks before or after your lip blush appointment.

    • Avoid chemical peels, microneedling, laser treatments, or resurfacing around the mouth.

    • If you are prone to cold sores, you must obtain an antiviral prescription from your physician (see below).

  • If you have ever experienced a cold sore (even once), you are recommended to take an antiviral medication prescribed by your doctor prior to your appointment.

    Lip tattooing can trigger an outbreak, even if you have not had one in years. This is due to the needle trauma to the skin and not due to your artist or tattoo ink.


    Please begin your prescribed antiviral 7 days before your appointment and continue as directed by your physician.

    A cold sore can reduce the retention of pigment.

    Failure to take preventative medication may result in a cold sore.

  • Exfoliate Exfoliate Exfoliate

    • Gently exfoliate lips 2–3 times during the week leading up to your appointment.

    • Keep lips well hydrated with balm (Aquaphor or similar).

    • Avoid retinol or active skincare around the mouth.

    • Avoid excessive sun exposure or sunburn.

    Failure to prepare for appointment can cause dry and cracked lips during appointment. Dry, cracked lips do not retain pigment evenly.

    Exfoliation Home Remedy

    1. Using sugar and water

    2. Mix a few drops of water to a tablespoon of sugar.

    3. Use paste to massage lips.

    • Avoid alcohol.

    • Limit caffeine the day of your appointment.

    • Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, and other blood thinners unless medically required. (Consult your physician before discontinuing prescribed medication.)

    • Don’t forget to exfoliate your lips the night before your appointment.

    Blood thinners increase bleeding and can affect pigment retention.

    • Arrive with clean, makeup-free lips.

    • No Caffeine

    • Eat beforehand to stabilize blood sugar.

    • Bring reference photos or your favorite lip product if you have a preferred tone.

    • Expect your appointment to take approximately 2.5–3.5 hours.

  • You may need to postpone treatment if you:

    • Have an active cold sore

    • Have severely chapped or cracked lips

    • Are pregnant or nursing

    • Are undergoing chemotherapy

    • Have an active infection in the treatment area
