Frequently Asked Questions

  • We offer a range of solutions designed to meet your needs—whether you're just getting started or scaling something bigger. Everything is tailored to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

  • Permanent makeup, also known as cosmetic tattooing, is an advanced cosmetic procedure that implants pigment into the skin to enhance natural features. Using a specialized tattoo device and ultra-fine needles, pigment is carefully placed into the upper dermal layer of the skin to create soft, natural-looking results.

Common areas include brows, eyeliner, and lips. It can also be used for scar camouflage and color correction.

Despite the name, permanent makeup is not truly permanent. It is a cosmetic tattoo that gradually fades over time.

  • Yes. Cosmetic tattooing and permanent makeup (PMU) are interchangeable terms used to describe the same procedure. Both involve implanting specialized pigments into the skin to enhance facial features such as the eyebrows, lips, freckles and eyeliner.

  • Most cosmetic tattoo procedures last between 1–5 years, depending on:

    • Skin type
    • Lifestyle and sun exposure
    • Skincare products used
    • Immune system and metabolism
    • Color and technique applied

This is why we refer to it as cosmetic tattoo rather than “semi-permanent” or “permanent.” The pigment will soften and fade over time. Periodic color refresh appointments are recommended to maintain shape and vibrancy.

On some occasions, PMU can require tattoo removal.

    On rare occasions

  • Comfort levels vary from person to person, but the procedure is generally very tolerable.

Depending on the service, a topical anesthetic is applied before we begin, and additional numbing is used throughout the service as needed. Most clients describe the sensation as light scratching, pressure, or a mild vibration.

Your comfort is always a priority. But, keep in mind, a Cosmetic Tattoo is still a tattoo.

  • All permanent makeup procedures require at least two appointments:

The second session allows us to refine shape, adjust color, and ensure longevity. Some corrective or previously tattooed brows may require additional sessions.

  • Brows and lips will appear darker and more defined immediately after your appointment. Over the next 7–14 days, the area will:

    • Darken slightly
    • Lightly flake or peel
    • Soften in color

Final healed results are visible around 4–6 weeks.
